Cancer overview
Cancer, also called malignancy, is
an abnormal growth of cells. There are more than 100 types of cancer, including
breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and
lymphoma. Symptoms vary depending on the type. Cancer treatment may include
chemotherapy, radiation, and/or surgery.
Cancer symptoms
There are several signs and symptoms that can seen in peoples health, these some of the symptoms include:-
1.Persistent coughing
If you don't smoke, there's very
little chance a prolonged coughing. Usually, it's caused by postnasal drip,
asthma, acid reflux, or an infection. But if yours doesn't go away or you cough
up blood especially if you are a smoker, see your doctor.
2.Trouble in
swallowing.
Trouble swallowing can also be a
sign of cancer in your throat or the pipe between your mouth and stomach,
called the esophagus. Your doctor will do an exam and some tests like X-ray, which
will help to diagnose cancer cases.
3.Fatigue.
A lot of things can make you very
tired, and most of them aren’t serious. But fatigue is one early sign of some
cancers, like leukemia. Thus if you feel fatigue often, please see the doctor
for examinations.
Other symptoms of cancers
include; weight loss, breast changes and skin changes.
For the good of our health we should see doctors, for treatment and more advise
in proper living standards in order to reduce risks of cancer and other diseases.
NOTE:
Every individual is responsible for
his/her health and the society as whole. Thus every individual should cooperate
in the fighting and combating of cancer.
